Born in Argentina in 1976, Fernando Garnero’s training has enabled him to create an interdisciplinary approach ranging across folk music, early music and classical music. He studied composition with Éric Gaudibert and Ivan Fedele and attended the young composers’ course at IRCAM.
His music has been performed at several festivals (Musica, Gaudeamus, Voix Nouvelles, Archipel) by various ensembles and soloists (Contrechamps, Accroche Note, Cairn, Sillages, SIC, D. Michelle Dansac). He has received commissions from the French government, the Royaumont Foundation, the Francis et Mica Salabert Foundation and the Nicati Foundation. He currently lives in Paris.
