Daniele Lombardi is a composer, pianist and visual artist of international stature thanks to his extraordinary repertoire. He has created an extensive body of work on the music of the historical avant-garde of the early twentieth century – with world premieres of futuristic music from Italy and Russia.
Daniele Lombardi’s musicological interests are also documented in several books, including Il suono veloce – Futurismo & Futurismi in musica (Mailand 1996, Ricordi-Lim). He is an expert in contemporary musical graphics and performance practice and has composed numerous works during recent decades.
He has performed in numerous different countries as a guest in many concert halls and at important festivals (including Maggio Musicale Fiorentino and Biennale Musica di Venezia). For several years he directed the festival Nuova Musica Italiana e Nuova Musica Internazionale in Rome.
Daniele Lombardi teaches piano at the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory in Milan.
