ROBERTA GOTTARDI has devoted herself to the classical and contemporary repertoire since making her debut both as a solo performer and as an ensemble member. Her interests also include standard performance practice on historical instruments. She has performed at many Italian festivals and several important venues abroad, including Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Festival Pontino, Munich Biennale, Bologna Festival, Venise Biennale, Autunno Musicale of Como, Festival Nuova Consonanza, Gaudeamus Muziekweek of Amsterdam, Warsaw Autumn, Laeiszhalle Hamburg, Southbank Centre of London.
Gottardi received the Cesare Barison Prize for chamber music and was awarded First Prize at a competition promoted by the Stockhausen Foundation. She has collaborated with several composers such as Stockhausen, Fedele, Cifariello Ciardi, and recorded for Edipan, Symposion, Philarmonia, Stradivarius, Altrisuoni, Stockhausen Verlag, NEOS, as well as making several Rai Radio 3 broadcasts. She presently teaches at the Conservatory of Bolzano.
