Biography:
Juan José Bárcenas, born in 1982, studied composition at the Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes in Mexico City. Since 2001, he has been working as a freelance composer, video artist and sound designer. His work focuses on electroacoustic and multimedia concepts. He has received scholarships and awards from the FONCA programme and the Seoul Computer Music Festival. He is a member of the electroacoustic experimental ensemble Colectivo Kaoss and has been teaching computer music in Santiago de Querétaro since 2005.
