Biography:
Christoph Bantzer, born in Marburg an der Lahn in 1936, trained as an actor at the Max Reinhardt School in Berlin, where his teachers included Hilde Körber, Günther Hadank and Grete Mosheim. His first engagements took him to Wuppertal, Hamburg and Berlin's Schiller Theatre. From 1972 to 1978, he was a member of the ensemble at the Deutsches Schauspielhaus Hamburg. In 1985, Jürgen Flimm engaged him at the Thalia Theatre in Hamburg. In addition to his theatre engagements, Christoph Bantzer has appeared in numerous films and television productions.
