Doris Bertschinger, born and raised in the canton of Glarus (Switzerland), attended a training course to become an accordion teacher with Yolanda Schibli Zimmermann at the Winterthur Conservatory (now Zurich University of the Arts) after completing her secondary education. She then studied at the Trossingen State University of Music in the class of Prof. Hugo Noth. She completed her studies as a certified music teacher in 2004 and her artistic training in 2006.
