Biography:
ERIK BORGIR, son of a Norwegian family of musicians, spent his childhood in the USA. Since completing his studies at the Oberlin Conservatory with Steven Doane and at the New England Conservatory with David Wells, he has been living in Germany. A sought-after soloist and chamber musician, he regularly performs at the most important festivals for new music. He is one of the founding members of the ensemble ›ascolta‹, one of the world's most renowned ensembles for new music. Erik Borgir is a lecturer at the music academies in Lucerne and Trossingen and a cellist in the Stuttgart Radio Symphony Orchestra.
