Biography:
Facundo Agudin is an Argentine-Swiss conductor. He received his training in Buenos Aires, completed postgraduate studies at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis and sang in the Swiss Chamber Choir under the baton of Claudio Abbado, Armin Jordan, Simon Rattle, Gennady Rozhdestvensky and Valery Gergiev. He was awarded first prize at the Colin Metters Seminar in Saint Petersburg. He is artistic director of the Orchestre Musique des Lumières and guest conductor of the Argentine Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional.
He works with the PKO (Prague Chamber Orchestra), at the Mariinsky Theatre in Saint Petersburg, with the symphony orchestras in Basel and Biel, the Orchestre de Cannes, the Orchestre de Besançon, the Fondazione CRT Torino, the Sinfonica Aosta, at the Polish National Opera, the Armenian National Opera, the Orquesta Filarmónica de Buenos Aires and the Teatro Argentino de La Plata. He works with artists such as Marcelo Nisinman, Sergio Tiempo, Philippe Bianconi, Ramon Vargas, Rubén Amoretti, Paula Almerares, Marcelo Lombardero, Pedro Memelsdorff and Gustavo Tambascio.
Facundo Agudin is the founder of Sinfónica Patagonia at the National University of Río Negro. He also collaborates with RTS SRF 2 Kultur, Universal, NEOS, Oehms Classics and Doron Music.
