Biography:
Frank Beermann is one of the most distinguished conductors of his generation. The General Music Director of the Chemnitz Theatre and Principal Conductor of the Robert Schumann Philharmonic Orchestra has enjoyed great success in recent years with his opera and concert repertoire. His CD releases on cpo and Sony Classical have earned him awards including the 2009 Echo Klassik and the Excellentia Award from Pizzicato, Luxembourg. Guest conducting engagements have taken him to the Staatsoper Unter den Linden in Berlin, the Semperoper Dresden and the Bruckner Orchestra Linz.
