Biography:
Osvaldo Coluccino (born 1963). His compositions have been commissioned by the Venice Biennale, Milano Musica and the Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale della RAI, among others, and are performed at some of the most important festivals.
His works are documented on several CDs: Voce d’orlo (Ensemble Algoritmo, conductor: Marco Angius, introduction by Paolo Petazzi, RAI Trade); Neuma q (electroacoustic, Die Schachtel); Gemina (duets, various soloists, Due Punte); in preparation: Atto (acoustic objects, Another Timbre); Stanze (piano works, Alfonso Alberti, col legno) and Parallelo (acousmatic).
Coluccino's music is performed by ensembles such as Ensemble Recherche and Nieuw Ensemble, as well as various soloists and conductors. Angela Ida De Benedictis, Mario Messinis, Luigi Pestalozza, Paolo Petazzi and others have written about his music.
Osvaldo Coluccino has been writing since 1979 and completed his literary career in 2003. He has published three of his eight books and contributed to renowned literary magazines such as Il Verri. Stefano Agosti, Giuliano Gramigna, Giorgio Luzzi and others have written about his works.
