Albert-Jan Roelofs<\/strong> (*Heerlen, NL) studierte Cembalo und Orgel in Amsterdam und Maastricht, u. a. bei Gustav Leonhardt, Piet Kee und Ton Koopman. Seine musikwissenschaftlichen Kenntnisse machen ihn seit Jahren zu einem ausgewiesenen Spezialisten der Tastenmusik des 17. und 18. Jahrhunderts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Diverse CD-Aufnahmen gelten als exemplarisch, u.\u2009a. J.\u2009S. Bachs Die Kunst der Fuge<\/em> (2006). Sein Spiel fasziniert und fesselt wegen seines sehr feinnervigen Anschlages, der, frei von jeglicher Effekthascherei, anhand der Quellenlagen nach potenziellen und teilweise neuen Interpretationsm\u00f6glichkeiten sucht.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Als gefragter Cembalist konzertiert Albert-Jan Roelofs u.\u2009a. mit dem kanadischen Ensemble\u00a0Tafelmusik<\/em>\u00a0unter der Leitung von Bruno Weil, mit James Bowman, Michael Chance, Jaap ter Linden und Elizabeth Wallfisch. Neben einer intensiven internationalen Konzertt\u00e4tigkeit gastiert Albert-Jan Roelofs regelm\u00e4\u00dfig bei Festivals f\u00fcr Alte Musik in Europa sowie in Aserbaidschan, Australien, China, Brasilien, Neuseeland und den USA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
