Jahrhundert) als eines der Instrumente der Gagaku-Musik von China nach Japan. Sp\u00e4ter entwickelte sie sich zum Solo-Instrument, dessen wichtigstes traditionelles Repertoire auf Yatsuhashi Kengy\u00f4 im 17. Jahrhundert zur\u00fcckgeht.<\/p>\n<p>Die Blockfl\u00f6te hatte ihren Platz in der Musikgeschichte (zeitgleich mit der Koto) vor allem zur Barockzeit im 17. und fr\u00fchen 18. Jahrhundert. Im Zuge der Alte-Musik-Bewegung des 20. Jahrhunderts wurde sie zum Konzertinstrument, f\u00fcr das inzwischen auch immer mehr Werke zeitgen\u00f6ssischer Komponisten entstehen.<\/p>\n<p>Koto und Blockfl\u00f6te sind in ihrer jeweiligen Kultur sowohl in der Volks- wie auch in der Kunstmusik pr\u00e4sent. Die Komponistinnen und Komponisten der Auftragswerke f\u00fcr Makiko Goto und Jeremias Schwarzer konnten demnach ihr Material aus umfangreichen musikalischen Assoziationsfeldern beziehen.<\/p>\n<p>Das Projekt\u00a0<i>three haikei and more<\/i>\u00a0wurde durch Auftr\u00e4ge vom Deutschlandfunk (FORUM NEUE MUSIK 2006) und der Ernst von Siemens Musikstiftung (F\u00f6rderpreis 2005) unterst\u00fctzt. Die klingenden Ergebnisse h\u00e4tten unterschiedlicher kaum sein k\u00f6nnen. Aber auch in Bezug auf die japanische traditionelle Musik l\u00e4sst sich hier Ungewohntes erleben \u2013 kein einziges St\u00fcck wird in \u203aoriginaler\u2039 Besetzung aufgef\u00fchrt.<\/p>\n<p>Auch wenn die alten japanische Zen-St\u00fccke\u00a0<i>Daha<\/i>\u00a0und\u00a0<i>Yamagoe<\/i>\u00a0auf einer Blockfl\u00f6te gespielt werden, sind doch deren Kl\u00e4nge so unterschiedlich von den T\u00f6nen der japanischen Bambusfl\u00f6te Shakuhachi, dass man nicht von einer Auff\u00fchrung dieser Werke im Sinne ihrer Tradition sprechen kann. Der Charakter dieser St\u00fccke als musikalischer Ausdruck von Stationen oder Zust\u00e4nden auf der spirituellen Reise (Yamagoe bedeutet \u203aGang \u00fcber den Berg\u2039 als Sinnbild der zu \u00fcberwindenden Schwierigkeiten, Daha versinnbildlicht die notwendige Selbstdisziplin) bleibt gleichwohl erhalten.<\/p>\n<p><i>Rokudan no Shirabe<\/i>\u00a0(\u203aMusik in sechs Abschnitten\u2039) von\u00a0<b>Yatsuhasi Kengy\u00f4<\/b>\u00a0(1614\u20131685) erklingt hier in einer gek\u00fcrzten Version. W\u00e4hrend sich das Original von einem gem\u00e4chlichen Anfang hin zu einem raschen Schlussteil steigert, besteht diese Fassung aus den aufeinander folgenden Teilen I, IV und VI, die durch die deutlich erlebbare Geschwindigkeitszunahme mehr Abwechslung ins musikalische Geschehen bringen.<\/p>\n<p><b>Erwin Koch-Raphael<\/b>\u00a0(*1949) und\u00a0<b>Toshio Hosokawa<\/b>\u00a0(*1955) studierten beide bei Isang Yun in Berlin. Beide nehmen in ihren hier vorgestellten Werken explizit Bezug auf die japanische Musiksprache.<\/p>\n<p>W\u00e4hrend\u00a0<b>Toshio Hosokawa<\/b>\u00a0in seinem fr\u00fchen Werk\u00a0<i>Nocturne<\/i>\u00a0(1982) ein St\u00fcck moderner Ritualmusik schafft, entsteht das St\u00fcck\u00a0<i>Schneegl\u00f6ckchen<\/i>\u00a0(2009) aus organischen musikalischen Zellen, die sich jeweils kreisf\u00f6rmig um wenige Zentralt\u00f6ne herum entwickeln, um schlie\u00dflich wieder in die Stille \u00fcberzugehen. Der Titel verweist f\u00fcr Hosokawa zus\u00e4tzlich zum Bild der ersten Fr\u00fchlingsblume auf die ungeheure Kraft, die diese Pflanze aufwendet, um durch den gefrorenen Boden des Winters hindurch in die Au\u00dfenwelt zu gelangen.<\/p>\n<p><b>Erwin Koch-Raphaels<\/b>\u00a0mehrteiliges Duo\u00a0<i>shogo\/noonday<\/i>\u00a0(2005) ist vielleicht das St\u00fcck auf dieser CD, das am reinsten \u203aasiatisch\u2039 klingt: Hier wird die Stille zwischen den Kl\u00e4ngen besonders deutlich, vergleichbar etwa den Prinzipien eines japanischen Gartens.<\/p>\n<p><b>Misato Mochizuki<\/b>\u00a0(*1969) schreibt eine moderne Musik jenseits von kultureller Bedeutungslast. Energisch und vital, fast immer mit einem pulsierenden Rhythmus, verwendet sie in ihren Werken \u203awestliche\u2039 und \u203aasiatische\u2039 Instrumente als Klangk\u00f6rper, denen sie die ihnen innewohnende Lebendigkeit ablauscht.<\/p>\n<p><b>Annette Schl\u00fcnz<\/b>\u00a0(*1964) gelingt in vielen ihrer Werke etwas \u203aAsiatisches\u2039. F\u00fcr sich genommen karg anmutende musikalische \u203aKleinteile\u2039 verwandelt sie in energetische Zellen, die ein Eigenleben zu f\u00fchren scheinen. Nicht die Elemente, die sie verwendet, sondern ihr Komponieren ruft diese Lebendigkeit hervor.<\/p>\n<p><b>Yuji Takahashi<\/b>\u00a0(*1938) stellt in seiner Konzeptkomposition<i>\u00a0koto nado asobi<\/i>\u00a0verschiedene M\u00f6glichkeiten bereit, wie ein Solist von einem oder mehreren Mitspielern begleitet und unterst\u00fctzt werden kann.
