ENSEMBLE ALGORITMO Mario Caroli, flute Roberta Gottardi, clarinet Flavio Tanzi, percussion Ciro Longobardi, piano Marco Rogliano, violin Gabriele Croci, viola Claude Hauri, violoncello
The ENSEMBLE ALGORITMO was founded by Marco Angius in 2002 and was able to draw on the support of several young musicians who had devoted themselves to the cause of contemporary music and had already achieved a considerable measure of success on the international stage. Their recording activities were rewarded at the highest level with the “Amadeus 2007” for the best recording of contemporary repertoire: Mixtim, by Ivan Fedele (Stradivarius). This was a Rai Radio3 coproduction.
Algoritmo performed at the Venice Biennale (2007), Mulhouse Filature (2005), Romaeuropa Festival (Musica XXI), Warsaw Autumn Festival (2003–06), 2005 Quirinale Concerts, Parma Traiettorie (2006 and 2008), Cantiere Internazionale d’Arte di Montepulciano (2008), Cracow Italian Music Days (2005), Nuova Consonanza (2002–06), Scuole Civiche in Milan (2003), Modena Municipal Theatre, Dissonanzen in Naples (2008), Radio 3/Euroradio Concerts. Since 2008 they have collaborated regularly with the masterclasses in Composition Studies at the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia.
