Delia Mayer was born in Hong Kong and currently lives in Zurich and Berlin. She studied acting, singing and dance in Vienna, New York and Zurich and performed at the Vienna Burgtheater, the Theater an der Wien and the Theater Basel. She has played the Lucerne Tatort commissioner, investigator Liz Ritschard, since 2012. In 2017 she took on a leading role in the feature film Die letzte Pointe (director: Rolf Lyssy). In 2019 she played the role of Claire Zachanassian in Friedrich Dürrenmatt’s Der Besuch der alten Dame (Lucerne Theatre, directed by Angeliki Papoulia and Christos Passalis). Since 2020 she can be seen in the role of Miriam Shapiro in the Netflix mini-series Unorthodox (director: Maria Schrader). Delia Mayer sings regularly in music theatre productions and performs her own songs live (with the Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich and the Lucerne Symphony Orchestra, among others). She has released the CD “These Days”.
