Christian Ofenbauer, born in 1961 in Austria; composer and music theorist; diploma at the Vienna Music Academy (organ with Herbert Tachezi, music theory with Alfred Uhl, composition with Friedrich Cerha); 1989–2001 visiting and guest professorships in Germany and Austria; national and international concerts (live and radio broadcast); recordings as organist, conductor and composer; since 2001 professor of music theory and composition at the University Mozarteum Salzburg with an emphasis on interpretation and 20th-century and contemporary music theory; since 2004 master classes (composition and music theory) in Europe and Asia; 2016 PhD in music studies at Paris-Lodron University Salzburg; active also in the field of fine arts (sculpture and assemblage); Japanese archery (5th Dan).
