»Captivating, expressive, multi-layered« (Süddeutsche Zeitung) and with a »communicating ensemble sound« (neue musikzeitung) is enthusiastic about it Amaryllis Quartet (Gustav Frielinghaus - Lena Sandoz - Mareike Hefti -Yves Sandoz) regularly attracts audiences and the press in his concerts, making it one of the most interesting string quartets of his generation. Concert tours have taken the Amaryllis Quartet e.g. to the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, the Alte Oper Frankfurt, the Tonhalle Zürich, the Wiener Musikverein, the Teatro della Pergola Firenze, the Gran Teatro La Fenice di Venezia and the Dai-ichi Seimei Hall in Tokyo. It is a regular guest at festivals such as the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival, the Schwetzinger SWR Festival, the Heidelberg Spring, the Rheingau Music Festival, the Mosel Music Festival and the Lucerne Festival. The CD »White« with works by Haydn and Webern, released in 2011, was awarded the ECHO KLASSIK for the »Best Chamber Music Recording of the Year« in 2012.
