Biography:
Benjamin Fisher is particularly dedicated to contemporary music and has played numerous world premieres and German premieres, e.g. by Benedict Mason, Michael Quell, Younghi Pagh-Paan, Louis Andriessen, Snežana Nešić, Christoph Ogiermann, Elnaz Seyedi and Anton Wassiljew. He has made guest appearances in numerous renowned concert halls, e.g. in the Tonhalle Zurich, the Alte Oper Frankfurt and the Berlin Philharmonic. Radio and CD recordings were made in cooperation with BR, WDR, HR, Radio Bremen and Deutschlandfunk Kultur. Concert tours have taken Fischer throughout Europe as well as to Asia, Southeast Asia and South America. He made music i.a. with the Swiss Chamber Orchestra, Theater Bremen, Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra, Ecce Ensemble (New York) and Ensemble Modern (Frankfurt). Since 2012 he has been an oboist in the Ensemble New Babylon - The Bremen Ensemble for New Music.
