Biography:

Benoit Piccand, born in Switzerland in 1966, received classical guitar lessons at the Bern Conservatory, after which he turned to rock music and improvisation. In 1992 he graduated from the Swiss Jazz School in Bern with Axel Fischbacher. He attended master classes with Joe Diorio, Scott Henderson, John Scofield and Mick Goodrick.

He has worked in the recording studio since the late 1980s. He works with musicians and artists from all genres and has his own long-term project (BPP). Piccand works as a producer and sound engineer in the fields of classical, contemporary, electronic and experimental music as well as jazz, pop and rock music.

He is studio manager and lecturer in audio technology at the Bern University of the Arts and takes part in various research projects and master classes in Asia and Europe.
