Biography:

Edward Moguillansky, born in Buenos Aires in 1977, studied orchestral conducting and composition in Buenos Aires; then conducting postgraduate studies at the Salzburg Mozarteum with Dennis Russell Davies and Jorge Rotter; Studied composition with Marco Stroppa in Stuttgart; Conducting master classes with Kurt Masur, Jorma Panula, Peter Eötvös, Sylvain Cambreling and Zsolt Nagy.

He received numerous awards and grants, e.g. Selection for the young talent forum of the Ensemble Modern 2006, prize of the »4th International Young Composers Forum« of the Ensemble Aleph (2006), 1st prize in the composition competition of »Jeunesses Musicales Européennes« (2006), scholarship from the Darmstadt Summer Courses (2006), 1st prize Prize of the »Sinxuan Composition Competition« (2005).
