Biography:

Florian Donderer received his first training in Berlin with Myrna Nordstrom and Bernhardt Hartog. After further studies with Prof. David Takeno at the Guildhall School for Music and Drama in London, he completed his training in Berlin with Prof. Thomas Brandis, whose assistant he was for many years. Meanwhile, he received a scholarship from the Karajan Academy of the Berlin Philharmonic.

Florian Donderer was concert master of the Ensemble Oriol Berlin and the Potsdam Chamber Academy. From 2002 to 2008 he was professor for violin at the Music Academy in Groningen (Holland). Today he is concertmaster of the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen.

A special focus of his musical life is working with chamber orchestras. Starting from the classic role of concert master as orchestra conductor, Florian Donderer increasingly devotes himself to conducting and works with such outstanding soloists as e.g. B. Lisa Batiashvili, Christiane Oelze, Hélène Grimaud, Lars Vogt and David Fray together. Florian Donderer is an enthusiastic chamber musician.

He performs regularly with his partner Tanja Tetzlaff, her brother Christian Tetzlaff and other musicians who are friends. He played i.a. at the MusikTriennale in Cologne, the Beethovenfest Bonn, the Ultrasound Festival in Berlin, the Ultima Festival in Oslo, the Vestfold Festival in Tonsberg (Norway), the Helsinki Early Music Week and is a regular guest in Heimbach, where he takes part in the von Lars Vogt conducted the ›tensions‹ festival.
