Biography:

The composer Gianluca Verlingieri (*1976, Cuneo, Italy), by Radio France as a »talent exceptional« has gained international recognition through performances of his music and projects that have taken place in prestigious venues (including INA-GRM in Paris, Italian Academy of Columbia University in new york, Parco della Musica in Rome, new Firenze Opera the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Festival International d'Art Lyrique d'Aix-en-Provence, State Opera Unter den Linden in Berlin, Thomas Church in Leipzig, St. Peter's Cathedral in genf, ARD radio play days im ZKM, Karlsruhe) as well as in Italy, France, Germany, Austria, Spain, England, Denmark, Belgium, Switzerland, San Marino, Scotland, Sweden, Portugal, Greece, Mexico, USA, Brazil, New Zealand and Australia.

Verlingieri's music has received numerous awards in Europe and North America and is regularly performed by internationally established soloists and ensembles as well as young up-and-coming artists. Some of his compositions have been broadcast in several countries and on CD by labels such as EMA Records and Lime Music (Italy), BIS Records (Sweden), Da Vinci Classics (Japan) and NEOS (Germany) published. He lectures on his music and gives master classes at several international institutions, e.g. at the Franz Liszt Music Academy in Budapest and on China Conservatory in Beijing.
