Biography:
Jac van Steen, born in 1956, studied orchestral conducting, choral conducting and music theory at the Brabant Conservatory. After leading positions in Amsterdam, Nuremberg, Weimar and Winterthur, he is now GMD of the Dortmund Philharmonic. He regularly works with the Residentie Orkest, the BBC orchestras, the Hallé Orchestra, the RSO Berlin and the Berlin Symphony Orchestra. Numerous CD recordings were made under his direction.
