Biography:

José gallardo (*1971) began studying piano at the age of five at the Municipal Conservatory in his native city of Buenos Aires. He continued his studies with the pianist Poldi Mildner (1915-2007) and followed her to Germany. He received further impulses from Menahem Pressler, Alfonso Montecino, Karl-Heinz Kämmerling, Sergiu Celibidache and Rosalyn Tureck. The winner of numerous international competitions and former chamber music partner of the famous Argentine violinist Alberto Lysi (1935-2009), today he plays alongside artists such as Gidon Kremer, Barnabás Kelemen, Chen Zimbalista, Julius Berger, Miklós Perényi, Danjulo Ishizaka, Linus Roth and Nicolas Altstaedt . He lives in Augsburg, where he teaches chamber music at the University's Leopold Mozart Center.
