Jurgen Kupke

Clarinet

Biography:

Jurgen Kupke, born in Vogtland in 1960, studied at the Hanns Eisler Music Academy in Berlin from 1977 to 1981, after which he was solo clarinetist at the Brandenburg City Theater and later theater musician at the Friedrichstadt-Palast in Berlin. He plays in The Clarinet Trio and other jazz groups.

Concert tours take him to many European countries, the USA, Canada and Mexico. Jürgen Kupke is also an interpreter of new music (including works by Helmut Lachenmann, Fritz Schenker, Lutz Glandien and Hermann Keller).
