Biography:
Karlheinz Stockhausen, born in Mödrath in 1928, studied school music, German, philosophy and musicology in Cologne. In 1963 he took over management of the Cologne Studio for Electronic Music. From 1977 to 2004 he composed, among other things, the musical work Licht, which is considered one of his main works. He died in December 2007, honored by numerous prizes and awards.
