Nataliya Tkachenko

The pianist and musicologist Nataliya Tkachenko was born near Dnipro in Ukraine and began her studies at the Sergei Prokofiev Academy of Music in Donetsk. Already during her training she made her debut at the age of 17 with the Rachmaninoff Piano Concerto in C minor op. 18. In Germany she continued her studies at the Würzburg University of Music and studied piano with Prof. Silke-Thora Matthies and Prof. Burkard Schliessmann , then at the Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg with Prof. Friedhelm Brusniak music education and with Prof. Ulrich Konrad musicology. The Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg awarded her the academic degree Magister Artium (MA) with a master's thesis on the subject of "Chopin interpretation by Ignacy Jan Paderewski and Alfred Cortot".

In addition to radio and television productions, she has played concerts in Italy, among others in the Museo Nazionale dell' età neoclassica "Palazzo Milzetti", in Ukraine at the International Festival of Piano Art "Music Without Limits", in Russia, in Poland, in Luxembourg and in several cities of Germany. In recent years, an intensive collaboration has developed with the theater in Kempten, where the artist has created numerous musical fairy tales for the series Classic for children, theatrical productions, as well as several themed musical-literary soirées audio biographies designed. She teaches piano at the Julius Maximilian University of Würzburg and lives in Germany.
