Biography:

Born in the Vosges Oliver Dartevelle studied music in his birthplace Remiremont and in Nancy, after which he attended the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique in Paris. Olivier Dartevell is principal clarinettist of the Orchester Philharmonique du Luxembourg and performs as a soloist and chamber musician. He also teaches at the Conservatoire National de Region in Nancy. He plays the most important concertos of the clarinet repertoire and works with conductors such as Philippe Herreweghe, Leopold Hager, Carl Davis and David Shallon. The passionate chamber musician founded the Trio Jericho, which is particularly dedicated to unknown repertoire. Olivier Dartevelle is also a composer; his catalog of works includes chamber music and various instrumental cycles.
