Biography:

Saed Haddad was born in Jordan in 1972 and lives in Germany. He first studied philosophy in Belgium, then composition in Jordan, Israel and Great Britain, where he received his doctorate with George Benjamin.

Haddad's music receives commissions from the most important ensembles, orchestras and festivals in Europe, the USA and South Korea. He has been composer-in-residence at numerous festivals and orchestras and a visiting professor at many European and American universities. His works have frequently received awards, including “Le Prix de Rome” from La Villa Médicis 2008-10 and the “German Record Critics’ Prize 2010”. His music is published by WERGO and NEOS.
