Biography:

The Swiss soprano Yvonne Friedli began her education at the music school in Burgdorf and received the scholarship award from the Burgdorf community in 1999. From 2003 to 2009 she studied at the Hanns Eisler Academy of Music in Berlin (with Norma Sharp, Julia Varady, Wolfram Rieger and Thomas Quasthoff, among others). She attended master classes with Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau, Julia Varady and Peter Konwitschny.

In 2004 she received third prize in the second section of the »Ferrucio Tagliavini« competition in Deutschlandsberg (Austria), in 3 she won four out of five special prizes and the audience prize at the international singing competition in Passau.

Yvonne Friedli sang the role of Christelfelein in the opera of the same name by Hans Pfitzner Zerbinetta in Ariadne on Naxos (Richard Strauss) or blonde from  The abduction from the Seraglio (WA Mozart). Yvonne Friedli has given numerous concerts and recitals at home and abroad, e.g. B. to the opening concert of the Festival Weeks for Early Music (Innsbruck, 2008), to the Léhar Festival (Bad Ischl, 2010) and in 2011 for various concerts in Oxford. In 2011 she doubled the dress rehearsal for Anna Netrebko on the Berlin Waldbühne.

In 2011 she sang the premiere of the opera in the Berlin Konzerthaus the blind by Lera Auerbach and in the Berlin Philharmonie the Berlin premiere of the oratorio atesh by Alfred Fields. In June 2012 she premiered Cathy Millikens everything that exists her debut at the Zurich Tonhalle.

Yvonne Friedli has been a lyric soprano at the Landestheater Neustrelitz since May 2012.
