Biography:

London-born tenor Adrian Thompson is an exceptionally versatile artist with an extensive operatic, concerto and song repertoire from the Renaissance to the present. He studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, where he now teaches as a professor of singing. He appears at many of the major European opera houses and is a guest at the opera festivals in Aix-en-Provence, Glyndebourne, Garsington, Bregenz, Buxton, Wexford, Lausanne and Göttingen.

Adrian Thompson works with all the major British orchestras and ensembles; his foreign tours have taken him to Europe, Australia, North America, Japan, Russia, Scandinavia and the Baltic States. His large repertoire is documented on CDs with Hyperion, Virgin Classics, Deutsche Grammophon, Chandos, Naxos, col legno and NEOS.
