Biography:

Ermis Theodorakis, born in Athens in 1979, where he studied piano with Nilyan Perez-Ioannidis from 1990. 1996 Diploma at the Athens Music Society Conservatory, Iannis Xenakis Prize for the interpretation of the piano piece mists. Until 2002 he studied composition with Yannis Ioannidis, until 2004 musicology at the University of Athens. Postgraduate studies in piano at the Amsterdam Conservatory. Studied composition at the Musikhochschule in Leipzig.

International concert activity. Accomplished interpreter of contemporary music with 7 solo CDs, especially the music of Xenakis. The complete recording of Xenakis' solo works was recognized with the Greek Music Critics' Prize, and his commitment to contemporary Greek music with a UNESCO prize. SACEM Prize and Boucourechliev Special Prize at the 7th International Piano Competition for 20th Century Repertoire in Orléans (France). The compositional work focuses on chamber music and solo works with worldwide performances.
