Biography:
Andras Hamary (*1950) comes from Hungary, studied in Hanover and in Stuttgart. Among other things, an opera was created for Stuttgart and Munich (Be quiet), a silent film score for ZDF / arte (foolish wives), a ballet with soloists, choir and orchestra for the city anniversary of Würzburg (The World's Wage), numerous performances in Frankfurt am Main together with the choreographer Christian Golusda (e.g He shouted after Pasolini, Rainy season, Rest after Beckett and Dead Wall Tales, the latter after Melville's famous tale Bartleby the scribe). Piano and chamber music works also mark his path as a composer. While still a pianist, he received the Debussy Prize in St.-Germain-en-Laye in 1974, which was followed by numerous radio recordings and recitals in Paris. As a composer, he was awarded the composition prize of the city of Stuttgart for his orchestral piece Timor and with the Stockhausen Prize, Bergamo for his 13 etudes for piano .
After his retirement, Hamary moved from Würzburg to Berlin, and in the loneliness of the years made difficult by Corona he wrote his 24 Preludes in the tradition of Chopin, Scriabin and Debussy, Bellheim tailor-made.
