Biography:

Brice Pauset, born in Besançon in 1965, studied music and medieval philosophy. 1984-1986 he studied composition and electroacoustic music with Michel Zbar; Composition studies with Michel Philippot, Gérard Grisey, Alain Bancquart, Pierre Boulez, Klaus Huber, Henri Dutilleux and Karlheinz Stockhausen; Lessons with Franco Donatoni and Brian Ferneyhough. He received various awards, e.g. by the Fondation Marcel Bleustein-Blanchet and by IRCAM. Regular cooperation with IRCAM, the ensembles Accroche-Note, Sound Forum Vienna and ensemble research; Composition commissions from various radio stations and festivals as well as from the Freiburg im Breisgau Opera.
