Biography:

ensemble Integrales

Since the turn of the century, the term »contemporary music« has gained a new meaning. »The 20th century is over, a new era has begun. The concert of the ensemble Intégrales in Eindhoven conveyed this feeling...« wrote the Dutch press about the Hamburg ensemble. For more than twelve years, the interpretation and experimental curiosity of the ensemble Intégrales have been captivating fans of new music. Ever since it was founded, the musicians have enjoyed an international reputation for playing new chamber music. The ensemble Intégrales plays in Europe, the USA and Asia. In addition to concert activities, the ensemble also holds workshops for musicians, composers and public school students. In open rehearsals they give the interested audience an insight into the compositions. The ensemble Intégrales also works on an interdisciplinary basis in the fields of performance, live electronics, musical theater and film music.

The incredible range of his repertoire is documented in numerous radio, CD and TV recordings. Characteristic of the ensemble's program is the special emphasis it places on its dramaturgical profile and concept. His concerts reflect the diversity, the playfulness and the very own beauty of contemporary music. The relaxed, undogmatic attitude, the unbelievable stylistic variety, the virtuosic style and finally the joy while playing are immediately transferred to the audience. The ensemble Intégrales works in a constant creative work process, which has often inspired new compositions, with up-and-coming but already well-known composers. Working with the younger generation is particularly important to the ensemble. The close connection is bearing fruit, as the Irish Times reports of an ensemble Intégrales concert in Belfast in March 2003, at which music composed solely for the ensemble was played: 'Unconditionally and with pleasure... The vitality of playing and writing foretells a positive future for contemporary music.«
