Biography:
MICHAEL SIEG has been a member of the Frankfurt Radio Symphony Orchestra since 1987. He studied at the Freiburg Music Academy with Hans Elhorst and Heinz Holliger and received several prizes at international chamber music competitions. He gained a wide range of experience in the field of new music through many years of collaboration with the Ensemble Modern and the Ensemble Modern Orchestra, where he played under Pierre Boulez. Michael Sieg often makes music together with important artists such as Albrecht Mayer, Thomas Quasthoff or Reinhold Friedrich.
