plural ensemble

Biography:

The  plural ensemble was founded by its director Fabián Panisello and has specialized in the music of the 20th and 21st centuries. The ensemble demonstrates its claim to deliver the best possible interpretation of this music at regular concerts and tours, where the most demanding compositions for soloists alternate with ensemble works. For the eleventh consecutive year, it has hosted the Ciclo de Conciertos Fundación BBVA de Música Contemporánea at the Auditorio Nacional de Música in Madrid and the Ciclo de Solistas Fundación BBVA at its headquarters in the Palacio del Marqués de Salamanca (Madrid). The ensemble regularly undertakes national and international tours.

During the course of its career, the ensemble has received the highest praise from critics and audiences at numerous important international festivals, e.g. Biennale di Venezia, New Music Week (Shanghai), Sound Ways International New Music Festival (Saint Petersburg), Musica (Strasbourg), Atempo (Caracas), Présences (Paris), Ars Musica (Brussels), MANCA (Nice), Spaziomusica ( Cagliari), Aspects (Salzburg), IFCP Mannes (New York), Festival de Música de Alicante, Quincena Musical de San Sebastián, Nous Sons (Barcelona), Warsaw Autumn, Ultrasound (Berlin) and Klangspuren Schwaz (Tyrol). The PluralEnsemble works with internationally renowned artists. It has made numerous recordings for various European radio stations and recorded CDs on the labels col legno, Verso, Cervantes and NEOS.
