Biography:
Wolfram Tessmer first studied church music at the church music school in Greifswald. He completed his vocal training in Berlin at the Hanns Eisler Academy of Music with chamber singer Prof. Wolfgang Hellmich. He was a member of the song classes of Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau and Wolfram Rieger and attended master classes e.g. by Peter Schreier and Max von Egmont.
After receiving a scholarship from the Komische Oper Berlin, Wolfram Teßmer has been a member of the Rundfunkchor Berlin since 2004. Wolfram Teßmer is active as a concert singer at home and abroad and has sung solo roles under well-known conductors such as Ingo Metzmacher, Marek Janowski, Pierre Boulez and Sir Simon Rattle.
