Biography:

Duo Slaatto-Reinecke

Since 1987, Helge Slaatto and Frank Reinecke new musical territory. The duo has built up a new repertoire for violin and double bass and developed their own signature in virtuosity and sound. Well-known contemporary composers have written for the duo, which is now a frequent guest at major New Music festivals. It gave concerts in Germany, Denmark, Norway, Italy, Austria, France, Greece, Armenia, Luxembourg and the USA.

Helge Slaatto (Violin), born in Oslo in 1952, studied with Maria Lidka, Sandor Végh and Dorothy Delay. He is a professor of violin at the Hochschule für Musik Münster and was concert master at the Odense Symfoniorkester and the Athelas Ensemble Copenhagen. He is a renowned interpreter of contemporary music and has extensive solo activity, including with the Koenig Ensemble London, Koechlin Ensemble, Randers Kammerorkester Denmark, at the Bergen Festival and Cantiere Internazionale d'Arte Montepulciano. Master classes in Germany, Greece, Denmark and Portugal.
