Biography:

Ronald Zollman, born in Antwerp (Belgium), was a student of Igor Markevich, Nadia Boulanger and Hans Swarowsky.
Since 1973 his career has developed rapidly. He has appeared as a guest conductor with the best orchestras on all continents: BBC Symphony Orchestra, Orchester de la Suisse Romande, Residentie Orkest, Frankfurt Radio Symphony Orchestra, Scottish Chamber Orchestra, San Diego Symphony, Sydney Symphony Orchestra, Shanghai Symphony Orchestra, Bamberger Symphoniker, Swedish Radio Orchestra, Orchester de Paris.

In the field of contemporary music, Ronald Zollman works regularly with the London Sinfonietta and, at the request of Pierre Boulez, has conducted the Ensemble InterContemporain in Paris many times since 1982. From 1989 to 1993 he was musical director of the Belgian National Orchestra, a position he has also held with the Philharmonic Orchestra of UNAM in Mexico City since 1993. In September 2002 he became Music Director and Principal Guest Conductor of the Israel Northern Symphony Haifa.
